I don't mean to stamp on this, but the Doomsday Clock doesn't literally mean Doomsday itself. Midnight represents a global disaster (nuclear war, climate change, etc.) and it's meant to take into account any existing threat to human civilization. If the global disaster is something survivable, then we'll all be alive at the end and the Clock will presumably be set to 1:00 AM or something. But, if it's nuclear war, [i]then[/i] we're fucked. Sorry for being that guy.
